【摘要】:Thistestmethodissuitablefordeterminingtheconcentrationsofknownimpuritiesinrefinedtolueneandforuseasanintegralqualitycontroltoolwheretolueneisproducedorusedinmanufacturing.Toluenepurityisreported,butachromatographicanalysiscannotdetermineabsolutepurityifunknownorundetectedcomponentsarepresentinthesample.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofhydrocarbonimpuritiestypicallyfoundin,andthepurityof,samplescontaining98wt%andgreatertoluene.Thistestmethodisapplicabletoimpurityconcentrationsintherangeof0.0005to1.6wt%.1.2Monocyclicaromatichydrocarbonscontaining6through8carbonatoms,cumene,1,4x2013;dioxane,andnonaromaticaliphatichydrocarbonscontainingupto12carbonatomscanbedetectedbythistestmethod.Thenonaromaticcompoundsaredeterminedasacomposite.1.3Thefollowingappliestoallspecifiedlimitsinthistestmethod:forpurposesofdeterminingconformancewiththistestmethod,anobservedvalueoracalculatedvalueshallberoundedoffx201C;tothenearestunitx201D;inthelastright-handdigitusedinexpressingthespecificationlimit,inaccordancewiththerounding-offmethodofPracticeE29.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,seeSection9.
