【摘要】:Withtheproliferationofcomputersandotherelectronicdevices,itisdifficulttoimagineacrimethatcouldnotpotentiallyinvolvedigitalevidence.Becauseofthepaucityofdegreeprogramsincomputerforensics,practitionershavehistoricallyreliedonpracticaltrainingthroughlawenforcementorvendor-specificprogramsorboth.Inthisguide,curriculafordifferentlevelsoftheeducationalsystemareoutlined.Itisintendedtoprovideguidanceto:Individualsinterestedinpursuingacademicprogramsandprofessionalopportunitiesincomputerforensics,Academicinstitutionsinterestedindevelopingcomputerforensicsprograms,andEmployersseekinginformationabouttheeducationalbackgroundofgraduatesofcomputerforensicsprogramsandevaluatingcontinuingeducationopportunitiesforcurrentemployees.1.1Thisguidewillimproveandadvancecomputerforensicsthroughthedevelopmentofmodelcurriculaconsistentwithotherforensicscienceprograms.1.2Section4describesthealternativepathsbywhichstudentsmayarriveatandmovethroughtheirprofessionaltraining.Sections5through7coverformaleducationalprogramsinorderofincreasinglength:atwo-yearassociatedegree,afour-yearbaccalaureatedegree,andgraduatedegrees.Section8providesaframeworkforacademiccertificateprogramsofferedbyeducationalinstitutions.Section9outlinesmodelcriteriaandimplementationapproachesfortrainingandcontinuingeducationopportunitiesprovidedbyprofessionalorganizations,vendors,andacademicinstitutions.1.3Someprofessionalorganizationsrecognizecomputerforensics,forensicaudio,video,andimageanalysisassubdisciplinesofcomputerforensics.However,thecurriculaandspecificeducationaltrainingrequirementsofsubdisciplinesotherthancomputerforensicsarebeyondthescopeofthisguide.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
